What is a woven label?
A woven label is a fabric label that carries a brand's logo, name, size or care details on clothing and textiles. How are woven labels made?
Woven labels are made on specialist looms that interlace fine polyester damask threads to recreate your logo or design, with different coloured threads woven together for a detailed, long-lasting finish. The labels are then cut to size and finished with your chosen fold, ready to sew in. You approve a free digital proof before production starts.
What fold should I choose?
Centre fold is the classic neck label. End fold sews flat into a seam. Loop and Manhattan folds add a hanging loop. Not sure? Pick that and we recommend.
How do you sew on woven labels?
It depends on the fold. Flat labels are usually stitched around all four edges, while folded labels are sewn into a garment seam or stitched at each folded end. Sew by hand or machine with thread that matches the garment or label, and position the label carefully first for a neat, secure finish that lasts through wear and washing.

End Fold - Both ends of the label are folded over to leave a neat and tidy edge and give a feeling of quality to any garment it is added to.
Loop Fold - One of the most common folds and is used on beanies and t-shirt hems.. The fabric is looped but not creased. This fold is very durable and popular among clothing brands.
Centre Fold - A centre fold label is the most common fold, it is folded in the centre and creased. The label is easily sewn into the collar.
Manhattan Fold - The Manhattan fold combines the end fold and centre fold to create a label with three folds and offers a tidy, quality and neat finish.
No Fold - A no-fold label is a piece of woven material that is flat with a laser-cut edge.
