What is a soft enamel pin?
A soft enamel pin is a metal badge with coloured enamel filled into recessed areas between raised metal lines, so the outlines sit slightly proud and you can feel the design. What's the difference between soft and hard enamel?
Soft enamel sits recessed below raised metal lines for a textured, tactile feel. Hard enamel is polished until the enamel and metal sit flush, for a smooth, jewellery-like finish. Soft enamel gives bolder texture, more plating finishes and is usually the more economical choice.
Should I add the free epoxy coating?
Epoxy protects the surface and leaves a smooth, flat-to-touch finish. It is free on every order, but some designs look better with the texture left open. Not sure? We will advise on your proof.
